The purpose of the uniform code is to encourage neatness and a sense of appropriate attire in each student, to render a financial saving to the parents, to reflect pride in our school, and to be a symbol to the local community. Each student is expected to be dressed in full uniform on arrival at school, during the school day, and on leaving the school at the conclusion of the day.
The uniform is also to be observed on all school-sponsored field trips, unless other specific instructions are given by the Administration. The uniform code is strictly enforced. Please note: if a student is not in conformity with the uniform code, and the situation cannot be immediately rectified, the student will be suspended immediately and a parent notified to pick up their student. The student is expected to return to school as soon as the violation is rectified.
Pants (boys’), skorts (girls’), school tie, blazer (boys’/girls’), school shirt/blouse and shoes, must be purchased through the uniform company. The only acceptable shoes (boys’/girls’) are those sold specifically for Burke Catholic by the uniform company. All other items may be purchased from other sources.
